19 January 2008 - Pinewood Derby Race

The Pinewood Derby tends to be a favorite for the scouts. Scouts build their own 7-inch Pinewood Race-car, decorate it as appropriate, and then race it on our computerized race-track. For those who can't actually watch race the race in person, we broadcast the entire race on closed-circuit television. A Human Pit-Stop will also be available through-out the race, for our racers and the multitude of race fans who watch them race to re-fuel their bellies and spirit. This year promises to be an extra-special event as we will be learning sign-language to assist our racers and their pit-crews in communicating strategies during the loud and drueling race.

All scouts should be in their full "Class A" (Blue) uniform for this event.

9 February 2008 - Blue & Gold Banquet Cub Scouting marked its 75th anniversary in 2005. This is a year-long celebration with the theme "75 Years and Still Having Fun!" Our Blue & Gold will focus on this celebration with our 2006 Blue & Gold theme ==> "Wild Wild West." The Blue and Gold Banquet is one of the highlights of the program year. It brings together the Pack's families for a dinner and an evening of fun. The meal is important, but even more important is the warm, congenial atmosphere created as families enjoy each other's company. This year this atmosphere will be punctuated with Wild-West Dishes prepared by our Scouting families using their favorite recipies handed down for generations (or perhaps swiped from the Internet). 14 June 2008 - Pack Graduation Family Camping
For the entire Pack - bring the whole family beginning anytime after 12:00 noon on Saturday June 3rd and camp until the morning of June 4th. Campout will be held at Michael & Margie's, Plan to bring your own tent, sleeping bag, flashlight, folding chair, etc. - if you need any of this gear please see your leader and we will try to make arrangements for you! Cost will be $5/person or $15/family. We will have a Pot-Luck dinner on the June 3rd (everyone brings a "dish" to share), campfire snack, breakfast in the morning, and drinks. Due to the large number of participants we are requesting payment by May 17th please sign-up with your leader.
